Why???
I'm a Muslim, so maybe I'm a little bit bias, but I'm sure in a modern society, freedom of speech and expression is so very important, and so too the human rights. If the bikinis (sometimes topless) is allowed in public places, why covering yourself is a "symbol" of an oppression against women. Why the government want to control what people should be wearing? It up to the individual rights to do whatever their pleases with their life, as long as it's not a crime. When the hell "dress code" part of the crime anyway...
When I was in Manukan last year, me and my friend (and many more ppls on that island) encounter a tourist who's swimming and sunbathing topless! Malaysia is a Muslim country, and yes many KKrian is Christian, but we still Asian, we don't just go around topless on the beach! But out of the respect their culture (even though I don't think she respect ours), we just mind our own business and cared less about them.
It's all about respect and understanding people, no word is needed... or a freaking law!! If you think Muslim women whose wear burka is part of the oppression, maybe you should do a background check on them. I'm sure many educated Muslim women believe wearing a burka or hijab is part of women empowerment nowadays. And if a Muslim women choose to NOT wearing a hijab, it also part of their choice and human rights. We are in 21st century and still there are people from the 19th....

New place, new life
There is nothing fun or easy being a student again. I now realize why I failed or barely pass most of my subject during my 'bachelor degree' years. I never actually study! Seriously, I study just for exam. I don't know how I actually graduated.
My 'new' life so far has been hard, sometime (well, I do have fun). My schedule is pack from mon-fri, I have tons of assignments to do and some I've no idea how to solve (automata and regular expression is killing me!), I need to figure out my project's title (HEADACHE!!) and find a supervisor, which is hard coz it's difficult to see a lecturer (they always NOT in their room!!), unless before or after class, and I need to find a scholarship or a study loan coz apprently nothing FREE in this world.
No matter how tough my life so far, I know I can survive this. I have to! I'm not passionate enough about study and research and all, but I somehow WANT this. I don't understand myself either...
On the different note, I currently BOYCOTTING all the AMERICAN product whose helping the Israeli attacks to Palestinian. I'll always thought I'm a small person with no impact what so ever to the world, but I still want to help. So, I currently avoiding McD (which my favourite!), coke and Starbucks (and many more once I know the list of products) for a week, and continue for another week and so on, until the killings stop in GAZA. I hope you my friends do the same.

I'm NOT that kind of girl!
I'm a care-free person. Means I like to do what I wanna do, without anyone blocking my way and I LOOOVEEE being SINGLE. Having said that (even thought it not enough to describe the WHOLE me), I also like to hang out with my friends, especially my old high-school friends, whose been long time no see. As I mostly living far a way from my family, these friends, especially males, were my some sort of 'helper' in my life. Especially things that guys usually knows like cars or electrical or hardware or something. Besides, I can't eat lunch alone (a practice I learnt from IPD) and I easily get bored when there is no TV or internet. So ladies, if I called your husband or boyfriend to hang out or need some help, please pleaseeeeee do not be jealous of me. I'm just one of your husband/boyfriend's friends, regular friends. If your husband/boyfriend was my school-mates, then DO NOT BE JEALOUS! Our batch was soooo small, around 50, and we knows what happen to everyone...we just one of high-school friends whose have a VERY CLOSE BOND!
However, if you guyz still worried, here a suggestion for you. Meet these guys and ask them to marry me. In order
- Takuya Kimura
- Andy Lau
- Kevin Rose and
- Shawn Yue

Generation Gap
I have 3 younger sisters and a younger brother who are still teenager. I remember back when I was in my teens, things that I like; music that I love, movies that I like and what hot and what’s not. My teens years was in the 90s, where boyband were really IN during that time; BSB, N-Sync and bunch others boyband from
Anyway, teenagers today were more advance than us, and a lot cooler too. They have internet, computers and handphone since…I don’t know, birth! And their more expose to the outside world via TV, ehm..ASTRO. As I observe my sisters and brother, they also easily can get what they want; mainly because my parent can afford it today, and they have a lot of choices out there, they can do what the hell they want to do!
Okay, move on to the things that they like. I wonder this A LOT; what’s up with Miley thing??? I mean really, why she suddenly BIG. It turn out my sisters were crazy about her, I still don’t get it why but now I understood why she is a big star. They are also CRAZY about High School Musical; I mean HSM is their all-time fave movies trilogy. Mine was Lord of The Ring trilogy and my big bro maybe Godfather (I don’t know, I just guess). See…its generation gap thing. I believe it soon change once they enter college and university, and to the ‘young adult’ world.

I wish I can fly
so I can come you in a speed of light
I wish I was fair
so you can see me every day and night
I wish you can be nice

Excuses
First case, the Norman scandal. Frankly when my friends talk about this I was clueless...who THE HELL is Norman Hakim??? I have a disease of forgetting people's name, not just someone whose I didn't seen for a long time, even when I have their faces in my head or they stand in front of me, I do sometime can't recalled their names. Funny isn't... Plus the fact that I don't follow local Malaysian entertainment industry make the matter worse. Of course I know who's he now, its all over the internet!
What amazed me about this scandalous event is the reply he was giving, according to this article, it sooo 'scripted' and most well-known excuses...EVER! What am I talking about???
(If it my fated to marry again, there's nothing I can do)
Next case is so classic, I wanna throw up just hearing about it. I heard this while watching Bernama TV. It about how Yusry-the director commented on the CGI that they use in Cicakman2.
(Don't compare our film to the other country, our budget is very limited and small compare to Hollywood)
Maybe I'm not qualify to comment about our film industry or Malaysian entertainment at all. I can't remember the last time I watch Malay movie (maybe it was Buli...ehm..), not just in cinema, I don't watch it on TV a well. Maybe I should... I'd tried once, during raya, watching I'm not Single coz my sisters love it, but I can only manage to hang on for 10 minute, after that if I'm not mistaken I watched Mythbuster, or maybe CNN...

Driving left or right???
To my surprise, 66% of world populations from 164 countries are driving on the right side of the road while the rest of the world drive on the left side. I always thought that we ALL drive on the left side except US coz US always different like elevator and lift, soccer and football or…I can’t think of other example - fyi I learnt British English and my teacher always reminds us the differences between US English and British’s English. It turn out that I suck at world history and geography (and I live in a country used to be part of the British Empire)!
The reason why there is left and right side is base on the history of the world. Before horses and cars, people walk on the left side as they are carrying weapon (swords) on the left side and can be ready during attack. When there are a lot of horses being use as transportation, most country still use left until Americans use heavier, bigger and multiple horses with no right driver seat. So, the driver use left seat and therefore drive at the right side coz of safety. For other country, the occupation during war influences the traffic law and the decision on left or right. Road border also part of the reason to switch, for example Canada use to be left side but switch to right coz their road connected with US.
British and its ex-colonial empire (except Canada and some African country) plus Japan, Indonesia, Macau, Thailand and US Virgin Islands are left side country. Coz Malaysia was once part of British Empire, so we are driving on the left side. That’s basically the reason why we are driving on the left side of the road.
